Board-level Leadership. Embedded Delivery. Sustainable Results.
Silverwing operates where strategy, leadership and execution meet. We help shape the transformation at board level, provide the capacity to deliver it on the ground and transfer the capability required to sustain the results.
The Fundamental Difference
Silverwing is neither a conventional strategy advisor nor a downstream implementation contractor. We are a transformation partner. Our senior leadership works with owners, boards and executive teams to define the transformation agenda, quantify the value opportunity, establish the governance model and make the decisions that shape the mandate. Our practitioners then work within the operation alongside management and frontline teams to implement those decisions, resolve constraints and deliver measurable performance improvement. The same transformation logic runs from the boardroom to the operating site.
Strategy and Execution Remain Connected
Many transformation programs separate those who design the strategy from those expected to implement it. The Phoenix Program is designed to preserve continuity. The operational realities, workforce capabilities and implementation risks identified during the diagnostic directly inform the strategy and program design. The senior practitioners responsible for implementation participate in that design process. This means the transformation is grounded in what can be delivered, as opposed to what appears attractive in a strategic recommendation.
Senior Practitioners Throughout
Silverwing’s senior practitioners remain directly involved throughout the engagement. They work at the level required by the mandate:
- With owners and boards on transformation priorities
- With executive leadership on governance and strategic decisions
- With operational management on performance delivery
- With frontline teams on implementation and capability transfer
Team composition is agreed according to the needs of the mandate, but senior accountability is not delegated away.
Commercial Accountability
Silverwing’s commercial structure is designed to align delivery with agreed outcomes. Transformation engagements typically combine:
- An agreed professional fee supporting the senior practitioners and delivery resources committed to the program
- A performance-linked component tied to defined and measurable KPIs
The scope, responsibilities, KPI definitions, measurement methodology and commercial terms are agreed before implementation begins. We are not measured only by activities implemented or hours delivered. We are measured against the outputs and performance results agreed with the client.
Capability Transfer from Day One
The most important test of a transformation is whether the results remain after the external team leaves. Making Ourselves Redundant is one of the Phoenix Program’s four core principles. Capability building begins during implementation. Silverwing transfers practical tools, management operating systems, leadership behaviours and problem-solving disciplines into the client organisation throughout the engagement. The transition plan and handover criteria are established upfront. The engagement concludes when the agreed results are sustainable and the client has the capability to maintain and continue improving performance independently.
Collaboration Without Fragmentation
Where a mandate also requires strategic, financial, regulatory, technical or institutional capabilities, Silverwing works alongside leading global and specialist firms. Silverwing participates as an equal transformation partner, not simply as an operational resource deployed after the strategy has been completed. Together, the parties operate through an integrated governance and delivery structure, with responsibilities assigned according to capability and accountability retained throughout the mandate.
Conventional Advisory vs.
Phoenix Program-led Transformation
Phoenix Program-led Transformation
- Strategy and implementation form one continuous mandate
- The delivery team participates in diagnostic and solution design
- Senior practitioners remain directly involved throughout
- Capability building begins during implementation
- Success is assessed through deliverables and agreed performance KPIs
- Transition occurs when agreed sustainability criteria are met
- Partners operate through an integrated governance structure
- Tools, systems and capability are transferred to the client
Conventional Advisory-led Engagement
- Advice and recommendations may be the primary output
- Delivery may be transferred to the client or another provider
- Senior leaders may provide periodic oversight
- Capability transfer may occur near the end
- Success may be assessed primarily through agreed deliverables
- Engagement concludes when contracted outputs are complete
- Separate firms may manage separate workstreams
- Transformation knowledge may remain with external advisors
Selected Track Record
The results below are drawn from engagements across multiple sectors and geographies using the methodology that helped develop the Phoenix Program. They are documented, verifiable, and supported by client signoff.
Begin With a Diagnostic
For organisations evaluating transformation options, the Diagnostic phase provides the lowest-risk starting point. It establishes the current performance baseline, identifies where value is being lost, quantifies the improvement opportunity and determines whether a broader Phoenix Program engagement is justified.
